ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT CARD AND SURVEY

Superintendent Tom Leahy announced that the district’s first Community Accountability Report Card to the Citizens of Quincy and Survey will be mailed out this week.  The purpose of the report card is to provide information to the community on the current status and structure of QPS.  It will give community members the opportunity to gain knowledge and make recommendations to the district.  The eight-page publication includes a survey to be completed and returned to any Quincy Public Schools facility.  Survey drop boxes are also located at both Hy-Vee and County Market grocery stores, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Senior Family Center, and Quincy Public Library.

It has been the intention of the board of education and administrative team to bring about open and factual communication with our community.  By sharing facts and information, decisions necessary to fulfill the district’s obligations to students and families can be made together. Superintendent Leahy stated that the release of this Community Accountability Report Card and Survey will be a milestone. QPS and the Quincy community will move to the future in a unified fashion.     He asked that community members read the information carefully and return the completed survey.  Feedback and suggestions from the survey will be utilized as Quincy Public School District plans for the future.
