January 2006
Issue-Ellington School PTA
NOW
THAT 2006 IS HERE, LET’S ALL
HAVE ANOTHER GREAT YEAR…..AT
ELLINGTON SCHOOL!!!!
TO BEGIN our January
Newsletter we would just
like to say “A BIG THANK
YOU” to all of you that
volunteered your time in
2005 to Ellington School in
helping out one way or
another. Also, to all of the
thoughtful families that
have given monetary
donations and personal items
to help others in need at
our school. Kindness
REALLY Counts!!!
LET’S GET CRAFTY TOGETHER –
Craft Night will be held
January 24th from 7:00-8:00
at our Ellington School
Gymnasium, there will be
five different items to make
and take home! Bring the
whole family to enjoy this
evening of fun! AND, BEFORE
THIS BEGINS WILL BE…
OUR BI-MONTHLY PTA Meeting
beginning at 6:15 until our
crafts begin, so, PTA
members please join us at
our meeting to update you on
the school’s progress from
our past fundraisers and
also upcoming events. SEE
YOU ALL THEN!
WELL, LET’S ALL BE PROUD ON
JANUARY 31ST unless we
happen to get enough of that
white stuff falling from the
sky to cancel a day or so of
school, it will be our
students’ 100th DAY OF
SCHOOL!!! Amazing that it
may soon be here, time flies
when you’re having FUN!!!
GRANITE BANK GALLERY has an
exciting fund raising
program that you may keep in
mind. If you have your
custom picture framing done
at their business, they will
set aside a percentage of
your framing order subtotal
that may be donated to your
charity, organization or
school of your choice. They
will send this monetary
donation either in your name
or anonymously. This is a
win-win situation for all.
Let’s all campaign together
to help our community and
school!! The gallery hours
are: 9:30-5:30
Monday-Friday, and also
9:00-3:00 on Saturday.
CLIP-CLIP-CLIP AWAY when
you visit your local Hy-Vee
Store and purchase any of
their brand name products,
don’t forget to clip that
upc symbol! Those are each
worth 10 cents for our
school. Also, the BOX TOPS
FOR EDUCATION labels are
another item to save which
you can find on so many
products from Pillsbury, to
Old El Paso and many other
brand name items!!! Just
send them with your child to
school as you accumulate
them. And, speaking of
clipping…..
SOMETHING NEW AT ELLINGTON
SCHOOL through Tyson
Products. This clip and save
project is called Tyson
Project A+, if you haven’t
heard it about it already,
let’s remind you one more
time! These labels are worth
24 cents each and we can
earn up to $12,000.00
annually for our school. Any
questions, feel free to call
Jane Warneke at 222-4639.
So, keep snippin’ and
clippin’!!!
