Quincy Public Schools
Adult Education
program is offered through the
Early Childhood and Family
Center. Adults sixteen and
older, not enrolled in high
school, are eligible to
participate in the Adult
Education program.
Classes are taught in the
Adult Basic Skills area
including English, Reading and
Writing skills, Math, History,
Computers and others. These
courses are individualized to
prepare the adult student to
finish his/her high school
diploma requirements, increase
personal literacy skills, or to
prepare the individual to take
the GED testing through the
Regional Office of Education.
There are no requirements for
enrollment in these classes
except the desire for
self-improvement. Certified
instructors will determine your
present abilities and desire a
course curriculum to help you
achieve the goals you have
established for yourself.
In addition to the academic
education you will gain through
the Adult Education program, you
will also be able to enroll in a
vocational training class at the
Quincy Area Vocational Technical
Center through the Wednesday
evening STP classes. There are
eleven classes that you can
choice from to improve your
current skills in a particular
occupational area or you can
explore a new career that would
be of interest to you.
