Tech Prep
Commercial Foods, Automotive Technology, Graphic Communications, Health Occupations,
Child Care and Electronics.

The Tech Prep program is for students enrolled in vocational programs that have committed
to continuing their education in the occupational area of their choice.

Students will receive increased emphasis on the academics required to be competitive in the
field allowing them the opportunity to pursue their career interest beyond the entry-level position.
Tech Prep students will continue after graduation at the community college, technical school,
or university in the occupational field they have chosen during high school.

While in high school Tech Prep students will be given opportunities in the community to work
side-by-side with employees in the business at their daily jobs. The work experiences they
will receive in business and industry will reinforce and expand on the skill development and
knowledge they have acquired that the Center.
