provides the skill level
training courses for all
high school students and
adults through our
vocational classes and
through the Adult
Education program.
QAVTC
works hand-in-hand with
the businesses and
industries in our region
and supports the
educational initiatives
of the West Central
Illinois Education to
Careers.
QAVTC has
eleven highly skilled
and certified instructors
to provide the quality
education needed in
today's labor market.
Our Career Development
Center will also help
you DISCOVER your future
goals.
QAVTC is
located directly behind
Quincy High School and
can be accessed by
entering off State
Street and Glendale
Drive.

Quincy Area Vocational Technical
Center first opened
its doors in 1972, as part of a
joint agreement of school
districts in Adams and Pike
counties. Those schools
include:
- Quincy Public Schools
- Pikeland Community District
- Pleasant Hill Com. District
- Griggsville-Perry District
- Barry Community District
- West Pike Community District
- Payson Community District
- Liberty Community
District
- Camp Point Community District
- Mendon Community District
- Southeastern Community District
of Hancock County
The Area Center was established to
offer the skill level career and
technical courses for Juniors and
Seniors that area schools would not
be able to offer.
The Center offers
eleven career and technology
courses, in addition to the Career
Center, to get you started on your
career.
