ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

QAVTC provides the skill level training courses for all high school students and adults through our vocational classes and through the Adult Education program.

QAVTC works hand-in-hand with the businesses and industries in our region and supports the educational initiatives of the West Central Illinois Education to Careers.

QAVTC has eleven highly skilled and certified instructors to provide the quality education needed in today's labor market.  Our Career Development Center will also help you DISCOVER your future goals.

QAVTC is located directly behind Quincy High School and can be accessed by entering off State Street and Glendale Drive.

Quincy Area Vocational Technical Center first opened its doors in 1972, as part of a joint agreement of school districts in Adams and Pike counties.  Those schools include:

  • Pikeland Community District
  • Pleasant Hill Com. District
  • Griggsville-Perry District
  • Barry Community District
