TYPES OR CATEGORIES OF RECORDS UNDER THE DISTRICT’S CONTROL

REQUESTS

Requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act are to be submitted to the FOIA Officer in writing via postal mail, fax, email, or in person at the address listed above. No fee is charged for the first 50 pages of black and white, letter or legal sized copies.  The fee for additional copies is 15 cents per page.  Color copies or a size other than letter or legal will be charged the actual cost for reproducing the records.  The charge for certifying a document is $1.00.

FOIA OFFICE

The FOIA Office is a function of the Office of the Superintendent.   The purpose of the Office is to provide timely and accurate responses to information requests governed by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.  There is no specific budget allocated to these responsibilities.  There are two employees in the FOIA office.

SCHOOL DISTRICT DESCRIPTION

The Quincy Public Schools (School District No. 172) is a public school system providing educational services to students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The School District has an annual Education Fund budget of approximately $46 million dollars. The School District employs approximately 1,067 full-time and 68 part-time staff.
