BAND CAMP will begin on Sunday, July 31 - 5:00 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. and then Monday through Friday August 1 through August 5.  Times will be detailed during the June camp.

Remember that IMPORTANT rehearsals are on Tuesday & Thursday nights during June and All students must sign up thru the Quincy Park District prior to attending! Checks should have been given to Sarah at the QHS Music Office or Mrs. Johnson at QJHS!  Poms and Colorguard sign up for August camp with the Quincy Park District as well! “A” building lockers will be assigned at the end of June camp.

The Friends of the Performing Arts is working with the QHS Music Department to help raise $100,000 for new uniforms with an Adopt-A-Uniform Campaign.   Donations of all amounts are welcome, however “adopting” a complete uniform is $650.  A personalized label can be sewn inside and designated in honor of, or in memory of whomever the donor chooses. 

 

Organizers are reaching out to parents, alumni, and to the community as a whole for support.  The QHS Marching Blue Devils are prominent at year-round community events, including the Veteran’s Day Parade, the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, Bridge the Gap, the Dogwood Parade, and other groundbreakings and celebrations.  The Band also represents Quincy at competitions throughout the tri-states, and later this year will perform at Walt Disney World and in the Citrus Bowl Parade.
